Remembrance Day in Norway (02/11/2009)
REMEBRANCE DAY - OSLO AREA - SUNDAY 8 NOVEMBER 2009
The annual Remembrance Day observance and wreath laying ceremony will take place at Vestre Gravlund at 1415 hours on Sunday 8th November. The customary church service at Frogner Kirke will follow at 1500 hours. All members of the public are welcome to attend these events. Poppies are on sale at the The British Embassy and Oslo International School, also the Belfry, the Highbury and Fru Burums bars in Oslo.
REMEMBRANCE DAY - STAVANGER AREA - SUNDAY 8 NOVEMBER 2009
Annual Remembrance Day services will be held on Sunday 8 November at the British and Commonwealth War Graves in Eiganes cemetery Stavanger and Sola cemetery. Timing will be 1100 at Eiganes and 1200 at Sola and each service will last about 20 minutes. All members of the public are welcome to attend these services. It will be possible to purchase poppies in support of the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
